SMSB M.U.G.E.N. (Working Title) was a game being made using the M.U.G.E.N. engine. It will feature various characters from The Air Ride Series duking it out. It's been described by Poyo Ride as being SMSB but this time, real. It is also considered to be the fourth revision of the SMSB roster.
Development is currently on hold because Poyo Ride doesn't like how it's turning out, but Poyo Ride plans on releasing everything he got done with the game soon.
History[]
On April 26, 2018, Poyo Ride announced that since he had nothing better to do, he would make SMSB a real fighting game using the M.U.G.E.N. engine. So far, one teaser image has been posted, featuring White Kirby and Mewtwo.

- "Buildup to the Finest Hour" heavily implies King K. Rool was going to be playable, showing a subfolder for "SMSB" with sprites of King K. Rool. He was never added because of the game being cancelled.
- Another character was mentioned in an update tweet. They were originally planned to be revealed the day Yellow Devil's Arena was revealed, but due to Poyo Ride slacking off on sprites, they were postponed. Has been confirmed to not be the Yellow Devil or Red Kirby.

Poyo Ride posted "Pic of the Day" style images showing things that would be in the game, such as characters, backgrounds, and moves.
The Air Ride Series now has a MUGEN game being made based around it. Here are two characters. Don't worry, these two won't be the only characters in the game. New characters, stages, and moves will be revealed in the coming months.
One of Mewtwo's air attacks will be shadow claw. Due to ssbkid's sprite sheet, the Melee version of this move will be used. It launches the foe upwards when connected. It's a great move as of now, because it combos into Mewtwo's other air attacks greatly.
White Kirby's moveset consists of tons of punches and kicks. Nothing too special, but he is the generic character. Maybe he'll get some special attacks one day. This is one of his air attacks. It can launch downwards, but not as strong as one of his other moves.
I definitely didn't stick my iPhone into the engine! Our first stage reveal! The most historically inaccurate comic of the 200, Comic 40, will be appearing as a stage! Ripped directly from the comic, hence why it looks sloppy, though White Kirby and the Shadow Star were removed.

Mewtwo's Shadow Ball will appear as one of his ground moves. It's a very strong projectile, but the chargeup time isn't short, and it's easy to jump over. It's currently one of the game's strongest moves, but as time goes on I'm sure new characters and move edits will change that.

New stage today! I know, two Mega Man stages in a row. This one was chosen for the music opportunity. I love the MMPU Wily boss theme. It's Yellow Devil's battlefield from Mega Man 1! Unfortunately, I can't add stage hazards, so the Yellow Devil will not appear as a boss...

On May 15, 2015, I planned to start doing reveals about the pre-MUGEN SMSB, and deleted the SMSB page off the wiki to start fresh. Uhhhh since that's tomorrow might as well celebrate by revealing a SPECIAL CHARACTER! Here's a screenshot for now.

Trivia[]
- Over a year before SMSB M.U.G.E.N. was even announced to happen, Kidsy128 had plans to convert ARA Smash Bros into a M.U.G.E.N. game. Like with SMSB M.U.G.E.N., it wasn't anything like a Smash game due to M.U.G.E.N.'s limitations, and also didn't stay true to the original roster. (All Patch & Poyo Ride were cut from the game.) A beta was released, but no download link can be traced, and development seems to be paused indefenitely.
- Bowser has been deconfirmed to appear in the game, since his only major appearance was in Comic 17, a very early, generic comic. Due to this, Poyo Ride felt like he wasn't deserving of his roster spot.
- Bowser is the first character to have been deconfirmed to appear in this game.
- Dark Meta Knight was also confirmed not to reappear as a playable character after appearing in the game's second roster.
